hi re the fretting question , it's called diatonic fretting as used on a dulcimer/ strummer. simply do- ray- mi etc ,good fun to play around on . plus stick a capo on the 1st fret and you get 3 ,5 7 9 12 positions for a bit a bluesy noodling. hope this helps . you got some pretty neat stuff btw ...J
Dick, you asked about my fingerboard's. My necks are made from rough wood in my dads barn, its black walnut. The necks are solid one piece. I did make a bunch of fretboard stock that I was selling if you need some.
