Hi, Dennis! About to convert a full size cello to an upright bass with those flatwound strings you recommend. Teenage son going to college, so I can sneak a cello into the house when spouse is looking the other way. Thanks for the tips, and especially for the hardanger conversion instructions. Mine came out great and it is my favorite in my little stable.
