Best washtub bass string

What's the ideal washtub bass string I can use?

Can anyone tell me what the notes for Hawiian tuning are? also, which numbered strings from a set would sound the best for that. I'm making a 3 string for a friend n i think she would enjoy that sound. Thanks!
