Just connect a single core sheathed cable between any grounded area (body of tone / volume pot, pup screening) and the bridge should do the trick. (assuming that the bridge is metal?)

finally got round to joining thanks for the tip this is a great place for all things cbg iam astounded at the level of workmanship and ideas i have finished my first cbg and will put some pics up later i was surprised how good it sounded i had some elictrical teething problems with pick up etc but after a bit of trial and error managed to get a volume and tone sorted i have a question and you have probably been asked before how do you ground these cbgs i have a very slight hum touch the volume knob it disappears and this thing sounds sweet but it is my first and a bit of a prototype ive never had so much fun always dreamt of making a guitar but i think the cbg beats it any advice from anyone would be great

I have'nt been home for a fortnight (house/dog watching) so i'm getting withdrawal symptoms,lol. I've spents my time on ebay buying boxes,pups, strings, tuners , so when i get back it's full steam ahead ,YAHOO!

Welcome Peter glad you joined us. I lived in a 14ft tourer Monday to Friday for three and a half years so I know the problem of limited space. Sounds like you're doin alright though.

Hi Guys ! Sherb was asking about a source of boxes - a big problem here in ol' blighty, I think, 'cos not many people smoke cigars - especially ones big enough to come in boxes. I was grumbling about this a while ago on the original list and Ted Crocker offered to send a bunch of boxes over on a 'slow boat' shipment. I'm thinking perhaps e could pool our resources and one of us could take delivery from them and distribute them at the Birmingham 'do' or whatever ? Just an idea.
I tend to make my own boxes or sometimes use those boxes that bottles of posh wine are sometimes presented in. Hene my 'whine box' for slide playing !

Hi everybody,
I am just overwhelmed with the amount of information available on CBG,my first build using a Roses c,hocolates tin was finished before i stumbled upon "The Nation",now i am absolutely hooked!!. Am i the only builder who cannot play my creations?.
I am living in a caravan/mobile home,but you can,t really call it mobile as it,s 40 foot long, lol, most of my work is done outside inbetween rain and gale force winds. I am a cockney exile (63 years young) and can be found ,since i retired , living in Alnwick Northumberland and frightening animals and children as i roar around on my beloved "Harley".
Well thats enough for now i,m sure you have all got loads to keep you occupied so TTFN Peter
