  • For some reason I didn't see this thread when I posted in the main group forum - dunno how that happened. I'm not a million miles from Cardiff so I might try contacting Dr Richardson sometime to see if his interests could extend to unconventional instruments. However I suspect he's a busy guy so I don't anticipate holographs of CBGs any time soon (as I understand it their system is quite elaborate and time consuming, not just a case of sticking a guitar in a machine like they would on CSI). I've managed to find and download a couple of his published research papers and I'm finding them fascinating - although not exactly light reading. (I figure if you're going to write to someone like this you need to gen up on what he's about so you don't come across as a twerp or a timewaster.)

  • Log onto the link in the BB C news item and get in touch with the proff. seems like an OK bloke from the blurb on the website.

12 years ago I was working in Pontypridd, pity I didn't know about scanners or CBGs back then!

  • I live 15 miles outside of Cardiff, but no CBG finished yet [waiting for neck]....Thanks for the link!
