Sidcup Cigar Box Guitar soiree

Hi everyone

Following the success of Brian's Newton Abbot shindig we have decided to organise the Sidcup cigar box soiree. To be held on Saturday 10th September 2011 at the Old Bexley & Sidcup Conservative Club 19 Station Road, Sidcup, DA15 7EB.
Confirmed so far are StumbleCol, Lost Tone, Slowpaw Steve T, Roadkill aka John Maw and Brickdust & Pyno. Anyone else interested in taking part please get in touch and we will take it from there. Further details to follow when we get an idea of potential performers.

    I've written a new song today called  "The London Olympics 2012 Blues",  which will debut at the Soiree !  The song is sharply satirical, quite funny and very topical for Londoners...it is based on the old Woody Guthrie song "Dust Pneumony Blues",  looking forward to it!  (-:

    7.45 - 8.25    Slowpaw Steve T

    8.35 - 9.15    Chillicool

    9.25 - 10.05    Lost Tone

    10.15 - 10.55     StumbleCol

    11.05 - 11.45    Brickdust & Pyno

     

    If anybody turns up on the night and wants to play we will do our best to squeeze you in

    Free entry, cheap beer and good company, what more could you want

    Sorry I have only just noticed your post, the event is being held at the Bexley and Sidcup conservative club, 19 station Road, Sidcup DA15 7EB on 10th Sept , we haven't finalised timings yet but i imagine we will kick off at around 8.00pm. If you need any more info please get in touch

    If anybody else is coming along please let me know and give us an idea of how long you intend to play so that we can organise timings. I have seen the chap who runs the club today and we can have music till midnight

    hi steve, we will be using my PA system which should be more than adequate for this venue, you can bring your guitar amp if you wish or we can put it through the PA,

    As for punters a bit of a mixture I think, the club has only a small regular clientele so most of the people there will be those we bring along or attract through advertising.

    Two weeks to go to the Soiree, just a couple of questions Dave and Steve about the PA etc, is there an in-house system there, and are the punters listeners or headbangers...or both ? (-;

    just checked public transport.i could get there no problem but would have to leave at 9;15 pm to get home...il see if i can get a driver sorted...if not il be camping for the night.lol.
