OK...thanks Ted... Look forward to another 2 stringer that I'm building, using both a flat bed and a stonehenge pup. Sam, it certainly keeps the gizzards hidden. It also makes the whole thing bullet proof - the transducer is also encased in ca glue.

There's no way the wires will detach from the element - so it's not as fragile as a naked disk. I also think it cuts down on picking up box noises, maybe because the disk is a little more isolated.

And last but not least, the aesthetics add to the aura of it being a complete, hand crafted pickup...

Ted, on the flat bed pup....is there any purpose for the thin piece of wood covering the bottom other than keeping the gizzards from being exposed?

hey people i like this room, i am going to build a tri-can resonator for my next guitar, i put a picture of the bridge on my page, it looks like something from a broken space-ship. i call it my guitar-flux-capacitor, i will post pics as i do the different stages, thanks for lettin me in this room.

The Swamp Growler is basically a pro solid body 6 string guitar wrapped in a cigar box. She has a Crocker Stonehenge humbucking pickup with volume and tone controls.

The ferrules for the string thru and the neck are hidden inside the box.
