Here we go. I took a football shaped candy box & made a CBG out of it. (I hope the pics I'm posting here don't come up every where else.)
1. I stripped the box of everything but the outside skin which I filled with 3/4" counter top material sanwiched between 1/4" plywood in the lid & bottom. (Making it a Solid Body) Routed out where things should go & fitted the neck (Maple, oak fret board, med/med frets, 25.5 scale, rosewood nut & cheap tuners)
2. Home made Bridge (wood & brass bolt) tail peice is alumn angle. Pick up is one half of a P Bass PU. Pickup ring is homemade from a messed up P-Bass mounting ring. Electrics are regular import parts for a single coil PU with a 43 mf CAP.
Splitting the P bass PU makes a nice single coil PU for CBG's. They sound great for not much $$
I have several more solid bodies I'm finishing up & will post pics ASAP.

I'm sorry. I just can't get pictures to display the way I want.
