longer box, shorter neck?

I am about to start a build using a 11" long box, my previous build was with a 8" box, SO will this make my new neck 3" shorter? using 24.5" scale, taking in to acount bridge position.
I know its my sound like a stupid question but i am new to all this
Thanks for your input..

leave the neck the same length compensate with your bridge

thanks, thought it would be, just puts bridge around middle of box..

You can go with a 25.5 scale,.like a stratocaster. If you make your necks with 21 or 22 frets,..make the neck with 19 frets instead and your bridge will be further back on the box. It looks kinda odd when a bridge is close to center of a box.
