Played at a local Jam Club a few days ago. Had only played at the Cigar Box Fest before, so this was my first time in front of "normal people" lol!!...went OK. The highlight for me was playing along with Steve Lockwood : -)

Hey All, Don't know if there are any Southern Californians in here as I know there but a few on the members map in CA but I just wanted to extend an invitation. I run an Open Mic night in Corona, Ca and anyone and everyone is welcome. I started playing my CBG during open mic recently and it went over great. People out here aren't to aware of the CBG revolution so they really get a kick out of seeing and hearing them.

Matthew - hope you can make the official cbn gathering in PA! I plan on being there as well. I wish you didn't have to go to Afghanstan.... and hope that your leave date is changed. Glad you had a great time playin' onstage with Shane!!

would love to meet you too brother, and hear you play. Right now I have a hard leave date of august 20 to go to afghanistan for a year and 2 months. Still it could be pushed back. Shane offered me a spot to come play if I get my leave date changed, happens sometimes. It is all up ro uncle sam and fate at this point. If I can come I will. Peace

Drove better than 3 hours to see Shane speal play at his family bar. Was one of the best shows I HAVE EVER SEEN!!! Shane plays with incedible magic. I was surprised no one called the fire department. His diddlybow playing made people get up and out on the dance floor. It was as cool a show as have ever been played in Pa in my lifetime. I had never met Shane before this, he is absolutely as real and nice as he seems. Even got to play a few DOOMTOWN jug slugger songs with him. Used a Kirk Withrow 3 string that I am fond of. Some one got some video of some of it. I hope I see it some time. Really as good a time as I could have possibly had.

Played the Southgate House open mic again last night. I had invited Elemental to play drums and do a full 7 Hills Stomp set. Figures it was the night they did not set up a drum kit. So I did another one man show. It went pretty goo I thought. Tracey Kennedy and James Higginbotham from here on the nation showed up to show their support.
