Welcome

To all those Old Punks. This should probably be called 'Old Geezers making music in their bedrooms'. Isn't it funny that we start off with a tennis racquet playing air guitar to or favourite band in our youth in our bedroom and all these years later we are banging out tunes in the spare bedroom that doubles as a studio!

Please post links to your old recordings, photo's, videos of old or new punk songs here.

September 1976 Wednesday rock night at the Club Laffette(spelling?) we had been here a couple of weeks before to see a French band we'd read about called Little Bob Story they were great, with a fast powerfull driving sound I remember they had a small chubby front man with black rimmed glasses a dead ringer for Peter Glaze off Crackerjack we thought they were great and bought there new single, a cover of the Small Faces "All or Nothin".Having also read about The Sex Pistols in Sounds and NME we were again looking forward to something different, there was only about 50 people in the place including about 12 strange looking folk who came with the band who called themselves the Bromley crew, they also included a tall guy with black spikey hair who half way thru the set bounced into the middle of the empty dance floor ripped off his black leather bikers jacket and jumped up und down on it like a lunatic he was followed by the rest of em all doin the same,The Pistols played for less than an hour and completly changed everything for me and my 2 mates, 8 months later we played a Punk festival at Barbarella's B

Hee-hee....this is bringing it all back! I too was an angry young man in the late seventies early eighties (I'm just a grumpy old man now, but hey, the passion never dies). I was fresh out of art school, still wearing my angry school blazer festooned in badges that read things like "F**k Art - Let's Dance", stomping around in my DM's and falling head over heels in love with Siouxsie Sioux (I met her years later at an special Bowie gig when he performed 'Low' in its entirety for the first time - wow!! - and she still made my heart miss a beat!....sad eh?!). I remember exchanging memories with Norm at the last fest in West Brom so now he's formed this group you'll never shut me up! And I haven't even started on Dr Feelgood, The Pop Rivets,........God Norm, what have you started?!!

Various recordings of bands I was in back in the day.

Me singing on these at the ripe age of 15. Angry with the World and my Dad if you listen to the lyrics.

That is me in the profile pic in the middle of the shot. I wasn't always a wheelchair user!

Guitarist on both of these - and song writer. Heavily influenced by my favourite band - Wire
