Public Image Ltd
I saw Public Image Ltd on Sky arts last night, they showed half an hour of their 2011 Isle of White set, the first thing I noticed was the guitarist Lu Edmonds formerly of the Damned was playing a 3-string instrument...He get's a really great sound from it..in fact he played the first 3 numbers using this 3-stringer..here's a few pics I found on the net of what he was playing it looks a bit Asian, African or Chinese...is anyone familiar with this…

Glad I found this group!
but i am a young punk, cool stuf those metal banjo's, my personal mercedes hubcap banjo is electric, I play some of my own punk blues with it.
i remember seeing PIL at their first gig on christmas night 1978 at the rainbow theatre, finsbury park london. a completely different sound to what was about at the time. we were chatting to john lydon before he went on stage, i recall my mate swapped his scarf with with him. when he came on stage he had a carrier bag with tins of beer in which he threw one by one into the audience.
