My first Lap build I did a few years ago....Started out as a Flying V shape but wound up with this...Fretboard is Cedar.... Back pup is a Maxon Humbuck from a early Ibanez...front single is a dummy at the moment the Nut is a AVCO flat tonebar ...Was painted Red but changed several times ...now stone flec paint...Probally will strip it someday to refinish it...But it is what it is for now ...Anyway it Sounds good and stays in tune!!! Ok Thanks Dave!!! Its a little confusing the whole E-mail friend response thing !! I don't know maybe it's me I'll just keep messin with it.... Thanks again for becoming a Friend!!!
Hey RL, i couldn't send you a message as your mail came into my spam folder. I have a weird glitch in my system that won't let me reply to spam via links. I don't know what it is, but it irritates me. I get around it by just going to the main site and finding you there. I'd be glad to be your friend, but i must do it from my end i guess. I'll try.
Thanks !! glad you like it!!! yeah I heard those Gretsch pups are pretty good..
RL, nice work! I love the colors and fretboard wood. I've been getting some great results with Gretsch lap steel single coil pups for my builds. They have amazing sound with little cost. I find them on ebay in "vintage guitars". They sound as good as many of my relics with vintage pups in them.
