Learnig bottle neck blues by watching U Tube and from Keni Lee Burgess "s CDs.Got to the part in his third CD wher he plays his CBG.I just gotta build one and play one.I didn"t even know that CBG"s exsited.What an awsome guitar to learn to play.Went on E Bay to buy one of Bill Jehle"s DVD"s on how to build a cbg but all I got was no matches shown. Based in the UK here. I on my third CBG. My first is gigged on a regular basis for covers Steve Earle tracks and one or two Skynyrd songs. Check me out on youtube giing a few demos, I go by the name davedundee or search 'cigar box tutorial' you'll be looking for the Alice Cooper looking dude.

I found tinyguitar's website, and then came here. Now I want to make a CBG and am waiting for my Ebay purchases to arrive. I'm afraid I didn't know what the right size and dimensions are so the batch I bought has a few that will become amps. Hopefully I got a few good ones.

Comment by jeff higham on February 7, 2010 at 12:53am: hi,i am a 40 year old mechanic from manchester living in west wales(uk),its been fookin cold here and i have not been able to play with my motorbikes as i normally do,so i thought i would build and learn to play a 3 string cigar box guitar,that was 3 weeks ago,shit ive already built one and am 2 thirds of the way through the next(does anybody build 1?),i didnt know about this site when i started but a mate of mine pointed me in this direction and im glad he did,already learnt loads from here and am still learning,if i can ever work out how to put pics on here(bit computer stupid,need wifes help)will show you my work,when i have learnt to play it(getting there slowly)i will post vids,good to be here

Really into bluegrass and i think im gonna go with banjo strings. I'll let everyone know how its coming soon enough

I haven't picked up a regular guitar since I finished my first CBG. Anybody here in SW Florida got the bug give me a buzz here. I can't be the only one in the sunshine state going thru this!!

I been picking around on a cheap strat type guitar with only 3 string just like Seasick Steve to bide my time untill im done building my first. I should finish some time this week! I dont really know how to play yet but its calling me, so i have complete faith.
