Hello CBN! My name is Eric, and I'm from east coast Canada. Province of New Brunswick. Thought I should introduce myself since signing up a day or two ago. Came across this site on Facebook and quickly became a fan and wanted to join..many thanks for opening the doors with a welcome.
I'm 59, a retired graphic designer and illustrator, with inherited musical interests...my grandfather played tenor sax during the big band era, my mom and aunt played and taught piano, and I dabbled in both piano and guitar as a youth and still strum occasionally on the old 6 string. I have played, taught and competed with bagpipes now for close to 40 years, but look forward to building and learning to play the cigar box guitar. I'm totally intrigued.
Just starting to tear into this site, but am amazed at the amount of info and resource material included here. What a great community to become a part of. Thanks to everyone who has shared and contributed something here...very much appreciated by newbs like myself.
I look forward to sharing some pics and vids once my first attempt at a build is complete. In the meantime, I intend to immerse myself into the awesomeness of this site! Cheers everyone and thanks for having me!

Welcome to the Nation Eric. Lots of good folks here and some great craziness to enjoy. CBGs are more fun than a sack full of squirrels at an acorn party. Enjoy your builds, there will be more than one as once you start, it's hard to quit.

Thank you Thomas. I can't wait to get started. I find I'm already quite 'hooked' on the guitars with all this great info here...can't wait to try my hand at building one. Cheers!

Welcome here!
I too am down here in the States, New York to be exact, but all are welcome on this site.
Hope when you are done building the first one, you enjoy it as much as you've enjoyed the site.
Welcome, and good building to you.
Well shoot, I'm in Mississippi, but welcome anyway.

I'm quite new myself, from Quebec.
Didn't know either about the Canadian Club...
