Hey Gang,
I'm Alan (my friends call me Bumpy) a sign making, truck lettering, harmonica playing, truck driver from north Jersey. Like most, if not all of you, blues is one of my passions.
Stumbled across this site on the web looking for machine heads and fell in love. I "discovered" CGBs by watching a North Mississippi Allstars DVD, Cody Dickenson was playing Mississippi Boll Weevel on a Didley Bow. It blew me away! Since then I've built three and am preparing for the next one working out the kinks on the way. Learning to play the one I kept for myself. What understanding I have of music is through my Hohner harps.
Thank you everyone for sharing your knowledge and passion for playing and building. This really is something special, like the Stanley Cup. :)

Welcome Bumpy - I as well am a Harpster, Sign Painter about 25 years ago, never been to New Jersey tho.
But living this close to Toronto, why did you have to mention "Stanley Cup"???!!!!????? We only get to see it when someone has jumped ship and joined a winning team and they get to bring it home for a day!!!!!
Welcome to all this craziness!!
Hey Jawbone! Thanks for the "welcome."
The signs and truck lettering are mostly vinyl now. Its good stuff. Some great pinstripers in the area!
Working on the harp. Its a lot of fun, mostly in the garage and on the porch. Not ready to play with a band. Stage fright! lol
Try being a Rangers fan in NJ. lol. Hard to argue with their 3 cups.
Take care, keep in touch.

Hey, Alan,
I wish I could play the harmonica because you got the makings of a one man band there. With a foot drum and
assuming you can sing you could be dangerous!
Hey Kenneth,
I'm already dangerous.. They don't call me Bumpy cause I'm smooth. lol
Take care, keep in touch.
Hey Muddy Creek. Thanks for the welcome. Good stuff. :)
Yeah it would. Too bad my team doesn't see it but once every 70 yrs. lol
I was reading through many of the threads and saw you put a lot of info out there. Good stuff, thanks. SO much to learn.
