Hi everyone,

My name is Marie Hynden and I live in South Central Iowa. I'm originaly from The Netherlands (Holland) born and raised there. I have been in the U.S.A. now today for exactly 25 years and I just love it over here. This is truly a great country to live in. I think I'll stay and never go back !!!.

   The first time I heard Cigar Box Guitars I was amazed about the fantastic sound they made, and I especially like the Delta Blues. I have lived in several states including Louisiana (were I heard the Delta Blues for the first time and was hooked), I also lived in Alaska, Kansas and Iowa. I have been living here in Iowa now for 18 years with my hubby. We are both hooked on building CBG's and have managed to build one that turned out fantastic. (for the first one) But now I still have to build one, we are currently working on his second one and we will shortly work on mine. We have alot of fun together building them. It gives us something to do together.

I have two grown boys. The oldest is in the Navy, and is a Submariner. He was deployed for 8 months and has returned safely. My youngest is in his last year of highschool and I'm about to pull my hair out, so I take time to "cool-off" by working in the garage with Bob on the CBG's.

   We both have learned alot at the Cigar Box Nation and will keep comming back for more.
