I seriously thought that this would be a more active group. After all there is so much "treasure" thrown out everyday! Anyway I recently found boxes of old brass plumbing fixtures in a storage unit I decided to rent. With so many uses for these parts that I already know, how many of you have used these parts and what for?

Oh- the same goes for brass... heh! -Glenn
I use the 1/4 inch copper T's for slides. I'm actually amazed more folks don't know about them for this use. You can use 'em as a slide the normal way (not so much on pinky cuz of their weight but on ring finger) or with your index (pointer) in teh top section with a slide in your lap. Either way they work GREAT. Just check for burls inside. Of course you can always cut and de-burr 'em for straight slides, full or smaller one's. Also small copper pipe can work great for bridges. Too thick for a nut but... And then there are steampunk concepts with copper, etc. on the body and so forth. By the way, I'm nearly 61 and I dumpster dive for elements to build found-object gits all the time. -Glenn
