fretting done smoothly

Hi all, I am building my second and third cbg 3string fretted and could use some advice on getting the edges of the frets clean and smooth. I used a Dremel to smoothen but did grind lots of grooves in the fretboard.

pick ups

I'm new to CBGs and for my first attempt at making I'm not sure what pick ups etc to use.

Truss rod or not

I think I put this question in the wrong place.

I've made seven or eight three and four string CBG's without a truss rod. Now I want to make a six string. I will use quartersawn white oak for the neck. Is it necessary to put a truss rod in it?

One For The Woodworkers
