Would this work in a reso build?

Hi everyone.  I would like to try my hand at building a reso.  I don't know much about cones and such, but I saw this tonight and wondered if it would work in a reso build. 

My idea was to cut a circle into the box and then put that over it and screw it down. Bridge would go right in the center.  Any thoughts?  Alternatives I could consider?

    Cool looking bezel even if you remove the hatch.  Would look nice over a larger inverted bowl set inside the box, with a

    biscuit bridge in the center. 

     

    Should have grabbed a couple of those license plate frames, too.

    It looks great, but does it resonate?  I think it's got to be pretty thin to give you any sound benefits - you might get more sound from just the box...but it looks cool and it might work.
