I stopped by Home Depot yesterday and as I perused the hardwood section, my heart skipped a beat when I saw dark mahogany of appropriate sizes for building cbg's. I settled down however when I tried to find a piece that was not bowed...some a little bowed, especially the 4' pieces, some with a double bow...8' pieces. Anyone ever have success straightening out some of these babies?

Hey Phil, I ordered a mahogany 6 foot 1x2 from Home Depot earlier this year. It was right around $20 with shipping. The piece I got was near perfect. It's on my favorite, goto git.
That's hopeful. Perhaps I need to check some more Home Depots...maybe I'll find a straight piece. I think there's 3 in my county. Thanks
I ordered it online, and they delivered to my house.
Hmmm, I guess I can return it if it's crooked.
Yeah, I got a nice, straight piece. I wasn't to sure what to expect, but they sent me a good piece
Sounds like it's worth a try. No other source of it around here.
I'll do that, thanks
