  • TiteBond 1, 2 or 3 are all good choices for wood to wood gluing. set in 1 hour, workable in 24... easy to use and available every where.

  • I'd stick with Titebond. There's no real stress on the fretboard so anything will do, but as long as I have it available I might as well use it.
  • I use Titebond 3. That stuff is unbelievable...but I am a novice CBG builder...but it has worked great on every wood project I have ever done, including the fretboard I just glued on my second CBG.
  • My pick is gelatine glue (no joke). do a search for "oyster glue" here on the nation. It's an alternative to hide glue. Like PVA glues (carpenters or wood glue) it can be removed with heat/water but makes a great bond.
  • I've used carpenters' glue myself -- bonds tight and strong, but harder than hell to undo if you ever need to.
