Finishes On Box?

 Does anyone normally put sealer/polyurethane on the box to protect it? Weird or not? It is a wood box with paper label on all sides.

    sometimes a bit af shellac but thats about it for a paper covered box

    no finish on paper covered boxes.... unless, wall hanger, otherwise I want to see a little wear as the CBG is played over time...

    I use sometimes "Decoupage" stuff, if box is paper label.
