Ok, so I am onto #27... on its way to being the fanciest build I have done to date (gold Tele pickup, 3 way toggle switch for pup and piezo, scarf joint headstock, fretted fretboard with gold fretwire and pearloid fretdots, etc...). It's a bolt on neck-thru (in that I glued and screwed two pieces of 1x2 inside the box and then cut and bolted the neck to those pieces.
After doing all this, I realize that once I glue the fretboard down, I won't be able to get back into the box (should I need to rewire anything). So, I am thinking I will need to have two points of access from the back (just like a Gibson Lea Paul... small area for the way and one for pups, pot, and jack). Any thoughts as the best way to go about this? I can cut holes in the bottom with no problem (and have a good idea where). I am just not sure what to do for covers and how to secure them to the box. I have only one idea and am just looking for other/better options.

I've bought a lot of parts from these guys over the years. Hardware and pickups are great, bodies and necks have been 50% good-50%bad.
So just cut the box or the fretboard. I have a similar problem that I won't get into but I realise it's a case of aesthetics verses practicality.. I'm going to take the trade of practicality because I want the thing to sound better than it looks
Edit.. I once made a replacement cover from a DVD case cut to size and sprayed with car spray paint, turned out nice.
When I glue the box closed, I use white glue, and just in little dots every inch or so... If I ever have to get back into a box, it's not the end of the world to cut it open...
