  • Does your manual teach how to make 6 string guitars as well or is it only for 3 and 4 stringers?
    • Ask around....the Gittyman Manual is the most complete and most detailed resource for makin' the CBG.

It is designed with the 'newbie' in mind, and it is very simple and basic in how it is written.

If'n y'all have already been successful in makin' a CBG, then this Manual might not be fer ya.

If ya have never made a CBG, or had troubles makin' one....THEN THIS IS INDEED THE BOOK FOR YA!

That being said, the direction in it are for the makin' of a 3-stranger.

All of the techniques to makin' a 6-strager will be pretty much the same.

The main difference will be in the width of the Neck, the strang spacing, and the xtra strength required of the Neck.  I CAN HELP YA WITH ALL OF THAT.

So........if'n y'all are somewhat new to CBG makin', I suggest you get the Gittyman Manual and if it is not of value to ya, let me know and I'll refund 100% of your $14.  Can't go wrong with a no risk thing like that.

PS Griffin - did ya like the music on my web site?

    • This is absolutely the best manual for the beginning maker to get. I was looking into making one a couple of years ago and my wife's illness side-tracked me. I ordered it today but there was a minor glitch in getting the download. I emailed Mordacai and he got to the bottom of it pronto! In fact, his records showed I had actually purchased it two years ago but with the illness and a computer crash that wiped out my files, I lost the manual. Mordacai wouldn't accept payment this time as I had already purchased it. He told me "once we became friends, we're friends for life." What a guy! I haven't met such an honest, decent guy in a long time.

Make no mistake about it his manual is great and if you're starting to think about putting one together, this one is it. You can watch a lot of Youtubes and read a lot in 'Nation, but this manual puts it all together, with detail and specifics. This will be my blueprint for my first CBG, hands down.

    • Haha, I do like the music on your site.

As someone who's never made a guitar yet I may just have to get your manual!  So what would you recommend:  If I got your book, should I follow it to a "T" and build a 3 stringer first?  Really, I want to make a 6 stringer but I don't want to mess up my first build so maybe I should build a 3 stringer first.

    • Yeppers....git the Gittyman Manual and follow it to a "T"....that way if you get stumped on somethin', I can do a better job of heppin' ya out.

I really do feel y'all are goin' to be impressed with the amount of detail at every step of the build.

I have got hundreds of hundreds of folks who have used the Gittyman Manual on their first couple of builds, then they start experimenting with fancier stuff....and I completely agree that is the way to go.

      Crawl---->Walk---->Run!

There are many, many folks here on the Nation who can vouch for the GittyMan Manual.

Heck pardner, for $14...take the plunge.

And like I said, if'n y'all ain't happy after your first build....holler back at me and I'll send ya your $14 back and you keep the Manual.

THAT GOES FOR EVERYONE....100% guaranty to be happy or ya money back.
