Solid Body MicroTele

Here are some pictures of the solid body electric uke I just finished.  1.5 inch thick mahogany body and hard maple neck with maple finger board.  Bridge plate is made of brass with strat hard tail saddles mounted on it.  the pickup is homemade and similar in design to a P-90 ( http://www.stewmac.com/tsarchive/ts0036.html ).

    • That's awesome... you did a great job with that! Did you use a plan for that, and if so, can I get a copy of it? I'd love to make one myself. Thanks!

    • Will, I just drew up my own plan for this using some measurement from a friends acoustic ukulele.  I used the stewmac fret calc. to lay out the neck.

  • This is awesome! Excellent job! I am going to have to try winding my own pick-up, now. Thanks for the incentive.

  • Very nice work, Bruce.  Cute little axe
