I just wanted to draw attention to a great tool I purchased last week. I bought it from Stewart McDonald at www.stewmac.com. It's a Precision Router Base to be used with a Dremel or Foredom type rotary tool. I've been using it to carve a sound hole cover and am really impressed with it. I hope to add accessories to it and maybe someday a Foredom rotary tool. The only thing I could possibly say against it is it would be nicer if the bass was Stainless Steel. It is aluminum and if I don't keep it waxed it leaves gray marking on the wood. This is what it looks like:
I've been working on this with it:
It is great for working on bridges, nuts and clean fret slots, etc.

Beautiful work!! Over the top IMO, fabulous
Thanks for the comments, stringybark and terry, I have a confession to make. On the hole cover pictured, I decided that before I sanded any more, I had better route the rabbit around the outside so I would know how much I could sand the outer rim. I routed on the wrong side! Holding a sign that says STUPID! Anyway it was a big goof, and so I cut a new one and started over. This time routed the rabbit early and got it in the correct side. Now sand, sand, sand,,,,
I just so love tools..even more impressive than the picture is YOU GUYS that share all the info..(must say the picture is VERY COOL..looks fantastic..THANKS
