Two celebrity box insturments in one photo.. that's Zeb on the right with a box fiddle, and Tennessee Bear on the left with his one-string "thang."
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3531/3801735690_774ae294b9_o.jpgThe updated (2002) one-string thang sports a resonator, cutaway, and a distortion-capable magnetic pickup. The headstock/tensioner is a wooden clamp.
