Adding on off switch to a prewired 4 string pickup kit from cbgitty

Curious as to which wire I will be splicing in order to add an on off switch. 3A at 125VAC and spst. First, will this switch even work? I know nothing about electricity. Second, this isn't meant to be fancy. I just want to add a switch cause I think it'll look cool. Purely for esthetic purposes.

    Don't splice a wire. Wire the switch through the jack. Red to red, black to black. When the switch is open the circuit will bypass the rest of the set up, taking the easiest path, effectively shutting it off. Its called a kill switch. I just wired one myself.

      No. Just solder the wires right to the leads of the jack
