Comment by CanJoe*John on June 22, 2010 at 7:22am: Another maker/provider of inexpensive dulcimer tuning machines is the company, WD Music Products, out of Fort Meyers, FL. The parts model number for them is: WD1253. I'd guess that most music stores should have these available or can order them.

Comment by CanJoe*John on June 22, 2010 at 6:55am: Hey Patrick, the common single dulcimer tuner works fine. Dunlap Company is one maker/provider of them. They come packaged as 6 individual tuners, (3 left, 3 right), with two pre-drilled holes in each, one in the middle and one at the end for choice of string insertion.

I mainly used whatever is left over from either repairs or other builds. I haven't found one that I really like yet. Also I've been experimenting with blank sizes, anyone have a favorite?
