Hi All,
Just got started making and just finished my first CBG.
My Wife works at Lee Valley and they have a workshop on making CBG's
A little too expensive for me so I decided to try on my own.
A few pitfalls and mistakes, but I managed to turn one out. 3 string acoustical fretless.
Got a pickup off craigs list that works, so I'm starting on 4 string electric next.

Hi from Rob in Kingston Ontario. I took that course at Lee Valley a couple years ago, now onto builds #15 and 16 I think. I name them, not number them lol. I look at that first guitar and have come a loooong way, but I still do make many mistakes along the way. Each build is different and maybe that's why, lol. Presently building a LPG ELECTRIC and have an commission for a 4 string electric. Wish my little shop was insulated but that's next year. I too am interested in making a bass CBG. that would be my first.
cool I also live in BC here in Mission my name is John I am completing my first 3 string with two pickups in it I am also trying to get plans for the 2 String G-Bass
Never made a Bass so good luck with that and welcome to the madness
The habit... err hobby will only grow... Just a heads up. Never odered much from Lee Valley just because they are crazy expensive. They have a lot of good stuff but want to much for my wallet.
My biggest problem... getting enough boxes or body materials.
Happy building from Osoyoos...
