AZ CBG Group

WELCOME! Anyone is more than welcome to join! This is a place for all Arizona CBG builders/players to get together! I am hoping we can all get to know each other and maybe start something local here in AZ, be it a once a month jam, or what ever!

Hello to Col Bruce,

We are glad to have you here. I am in Mesa and can get over to Maricopa some days. There is much more action daily on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/groups/dustyhawk/  and  https://www.facebook.com/groups/482635468417721/  I have found much support and friend among these groups. Keith Stanford was one of the first to welcome me as well. Ask and somebody adds in their 2 cents worth. Some photos of your work is always good to.  http://www.gittyman.com/  and Glenn Watt, an employee at C.B.Gitty at http://glennwatt.com/ are just a couple I have learned from.

Yep, I got that book also by Sutton and also found the articles interesting.  And yes, a person can follow the directions to make a CBG, but not nearly anywhere as detailed as gittyman's.

And gittyman's book is half the price....but best of all, you buy his book and if if you feel it is not worth the $14, he refunds your money and you keep the book.  That won't happen with any of the other books out there.

Anyway, enjoy the journey amigo....hopefully we can meet up sometime along I-10 (maybe Casa Grande?)

Keith, I  may have to think about getting that. my wife got me the book "Guitar Box Guitars" by David Sutton. It is a great read, he has step by step for three different builds. But the cool part is all the interviews he does with people that have been deeply involved with the CBG Revolution.

Howdy Col. Bruce Roberts and welcome!

I'm down in Tucson and you are correct, not many active CBG makers around....BUT WE ARE!!!!

If you have not yet done so, get the $14 book on making CBGs at www.Gittyman.com

And I believe he just put up a free video on there on how to play the Blues on CBG.

Hello everyone, just got started making CBG's and I love it!!!. I am out in Maricopa. not much else to do other than build CBG's, LOL. Hope there is some more talk on here, I see there are not many CBG players out here.

Is anyone going to the Blues and Heritage Festival tomorrow in Tucson?

Proceeding photos are my walking stick diddly bow. I made this yesterday and it was a quick build.
