rechargeable amp

Nearly everyone has a mobile phone which plugs into the wall to recharge. I'd like to put 1 or more mobile batteries into a take-anywhere combo amp; probably using the ruby circuit. 

Any pros and cons? Any system for doing this commercially available

Eye Candy 6E2 magic eye valve PCB

 I was interested in the magic eye valves after seeing a Logic 3 valve 80 ipod docking station.  After an ebay and google search I was a bit put off as so far I have stuck with low voltage things and this valve needed a voltage around 250V to work.

Amp Use Question

If I pointed my amp's speaker down so it's facing the carpet, and i then played some loud riffs on it, would that damage the speaker? I'm curious about what it would sound like.

hacking an old yamaha keyboard

Roland DAC-15D

I'm offered an amp: Rpland DAC-15D. Price will be about 25 bucks. Some knops give a little noise (cracking sound). Is this a good deal and is this amp suitable for cbg.
