nubie amp kit, where to buy

Hi All.

I think I looked through the threads and did not find a answere, so I will ask.

I built the CBG but feel I am missing out not building a small amp to go with it.

I have come across malpins kis, but I think they are in England, and i am in Canada.

So is their a small kit I could order and make go as a nubie?

I have been reading what I can about this and think I could handle a small kit. Even if it did not work out on the first go i think I could learn a lot from doing it. I just have to take the plunge and have a go at it. I did do a small robot light senstive bug for my son and it works.

So coulds somebody direct me to a small kit and get me on my way.

When i search the net I do not know if I have found the right thing due to the, for me, a high level of tech talk describing the thing. Like this:

                                           Cheers Ron.

  • Jaycar sell a simple amp kit whcih is a good starting point and they have stores in Canada (or at least a Canadian website). I recently got one here in Australia and wasable to put it together with minimal drama. You are looking for the "Champ" amp kit (cat code KC5152):

Also, their staff are very helpful so long as you don't pretend to know more than you do! For an extra $3/$4 they can show you how to fit a battery, a larger volume 'pot' (thats a knob to you and me) and an on/off switch - even an led (again, thats an 'on light' to you and me) if yore feeling adventurous.

    All the best,
