Comment by Ice Bob on March 13, 2011 at 3:04am: 1 string bass tuning hmmm i tune the open string to the root or key of the song.instant transposing for dummys. i have a D string i tune up to E,F maybe G. and down to C,B A maybe G. on lower tunings i play softer on higher tunings it realy rings out BE CAREFULL OF OVER TIGHTNING.this method is eazy to play and tune. listen for the key and do a quick tune. a clipon tuner is helpfull
