I'm new to this (computer's) so hope i am doing this right. I have been a member of CBG for 5-6 months now, and have built several 3 stringers, a 4 string bass, and a uke. This is my first 2 stringer, called Macanudoa 61\4 in x 12 in box. The neck is a south American hardwood that is brown in color until you cut it then it turns firy red with some orange color to it. It is frettrd on a fretboard made from oak, set up with Gittys pick ups and volume, tuning four string setup.I,m not sure about the tuning for these, I went with half flat wound bass guitar strings with A string and D string, those tunings. Are these ok or is there a set rule for 2 stringers. One more question if I can. In the group or husband and wife team called Hyms for Her is she playing a 2 string or a 3, she,s very good no matter. Thanks, MWR
I am building a 2 string stand up bass. My plan for tuning is simply E and A just to keep it simple

I was a bass player untill I had three carpal tunnel surgerys on my left hand which left my middle and ring fingers almost useless thats why Im trying to learn slide good luck with your new build would like to see it when complete Marshal Robin, Long hollow horn.
