You should be able to, no reason it shouldnt work.. - I havent tried that yet..let us know how it works out :-)

I came across this switch and wanted to try to use it in a cbg I'm building.  Could someone explain to me how to wire this up?  Can I use three different piezos wired to this so they can be played individually?

Tim,

I noticed no one has yet relied to your query. That looks like a version of a Strat 5-way pickup selector switch. Here's a 3-part article from Premier Guitar that discusses 5-way switch operation and wiring that may be of some use:

Thanks for your reply.  I did some digging around on the internet and some trial and error and got it to work for three pickups.  First position plays pickup 1, 2nd position plays 1 and 2, 3rd position plays 2, 4th plays 2 and 3, 5th plays 3.

Yep, that's how it's supposed to work. Glad you got it sussed out. You gonna post pics or a vid of the completed build?

Here are some pics.  Pickup #1 is mounted in the bridge on top of resonator, #2 is near the neck and #3 is near the tailpiece.

an old thread i know, but a good idea as an ongoing resourse, and it looks like it's still active.

so here's the schematic of my most recent build.  it's a bit more complicated than most here so far, and was quite a challenge to cram into the box neatly, but it works really well, and the tonal range just switching pups is really broad.

sorry, just going through the schem, and noticed the 5-way is drawn a little wrong.  should look like this...too busy concentrating on all those wires...
