I'm working on a 100 year old cigar box with a (?) year old copper ladle cup. I want to locate the bridge right on the top outer edge of the cup and have 2 piezo's work on the ladle cup (one on the sidewall - the other one located on the flat bottom. The cup is free of any contact with the rest of the guitar and only the sound board. What do you guy's think?
Best vibration comes direct thru bridge. Put piezo directly under bridge. Look at a standard reso: biscuit bridge is in the center of the cone, not off to one side or edge. Not saying what you wanna do won't necessarily work, as there's no real right or wrong. Hook it up, try it out. Only way to know for sure.
