What's on your workbench?
This could be git related or not. So, what's on your workbench at the moment?
I have 4 scarf joint necks in different stages of work.
A 25" scale pine 5 string neck for a Banjo-Res, A 25" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Strat-Res build, A 24 & 1/2" scale Red Oak neck for my 6 string Double Cut Tele build and a 27" scale 6 string Baritone Conversion neck for a Modern Strat body I have.

Got the third string on tonight, the middle G. Here's a few observations:
- The new string stretches a lot
- Eye bolts tuners are crap
- My wife was able to recognize the first melody I played. (Somewhere over the rainbow) This really surprised me.
- We both agreed that I was less dreadful sounding as we both thought I'd be. LOL.
- I'm not allowed to play Silent Night for our guests this weekend. :- )

That's because the night is supposed to be silent. Haha
New strings will stretch a bit and some will stretch them them out before tuning.

It turns out it was going flat because the string ball was pulling through the wood! The new string had a really small ball at the end.

Nice fix. I've used threaded brass inserts from the furniture hardware section of the screw and bolt aisle at Lowe's. Anonymous Pick recommended pop rivets and that's an excellent idea as well.
