Hi, My last batch of ebony fingerboard blanks had a couple amongst them that had warped while I was storing them. They were perfectly flat but had twisted to one side so that I had no straight edges to work from.

As builders of instruments often using "found" materials and timber, I thought this jig I built to overcome the problems of out of shape timber, may be of interest to some. It only took about 30 minutes to build out of stuff around the shop.

I like two straight sides to a fretboard blank so that is fits my fretting saw set up accurately.
