Transducers and Distortation

Hey, what is everyone's thougts about transducers and distoratoin, (man I can't spell this morning) anyhow, my cbg has really bad feed back with too much distoratoin, but I am geting some good sounds if I back it down. Now that I think of it, I don't hear many songs that use that sounds, transducers and distoration......I guess I keep thinking my transducers are humbuckers. Just want some more feed back on this one.....(get it, feed back, distoratoin......never mind, it's really earley) No really, what is everyone's thoughs and what do you play thorugh if you use a transducer? Pedal's amps and such.

  • How are you mounting your "transducer"? Where? Most of the "feedback" issues with piezos come from how they're used....
  • Jay at tiny guitars uses hot glue to add a piezo transducer, He puts down a small puddle of hot glue sits the piezo brass side in the hot glue tjrn lightly covers it with hot glue. I have owned three of his instruments built this way and have never had any feed back. Hope this helps.
