I kind of screwed up cutting a hole for a cookie tin lid and almost sanded the hole too large. The lid is a little sloppy in the fit dept. If it is slid in one spot it's ok, but if I slid it in another and apply a down pressure it falls through. Can I glue it in position without affecting the sound. Or should I just scrap it and start over? Not like it's a big deal.

Also should I make a bridge or a biscuit for tin(6.5" dia)

  • Maybe you can glue some wood strips around the edge and screw in place. That way you can take it apart if you need to in the future

    • Just got home short while ago, think I found a fix. Haven't had a chance to measure it yet, but I found another tin that I think is slightly larger. If so I'll just make adjustments and wala alakazam. Or ill throw the box out and start over.

  • pics would help. cant tell what could be done otherwise.

    • Out of town right now, will do asap.
