I found out a few days ago that Dan passed away, as I have not logged on in a while. I know that inside this community is a small family of people who started and own this site, and that Dan was a big part .
He was the guy that help us keep our sites running, he was the one of the few builders I wanted to buy from. His work on Diane's CBG's for Service Members in my mind is the shinning moment for this site. With Dan encouragement and advice I made the biggest donation of my life to Wounded Warriors.
It's one thing to build and sell guitars it's another to send guitars and amps all around the world to deployed service members free, a logistical challenge all by itself. It would be nice if we could do something down the road to honor Dan.
Thank You Mr. Sleep.

Nice post RTZ . indeed he was a great guy .
Nice post, brother. Thanks for taking time to do it. You have a great heart.I personally think the first way to keep what Dan had goin is give something to someone once a month. A lot of that is already happening, here but ,its a good way to carry the torch.. I still have necks and fretboards I tried to pay for at Christmas..He just messaged me "Merry Christmas" That's just who he was.. Even In the middle of Chemo he sent me a package for the CBG Fest NW.Brought me to tears at the time.
We could also maybe do a tribute CD...He always wanted me to do Catch 22 by Ian Seigel ...
