One of my customers was telling me about "Skiffle Bands" the other day so I looked it up. It was part of the evolution of homemade music and instruments around the turn of the century and again in the post war times. Some famous players and bands were born in skiffle music. Skiffle became very popular in England,  John Lennon and the Quarry Men got their start here! Roger Daltery, Mick Jagger, Ritchie Blackmore were all part of the movement. It is estimated that at one time there were 30-50,000 skiffle bands in the UK alone!
