Sancho Panza CBG : Moving right along
The three day weekend gave me time to enjoy time with loved ones AND work on a guitar! Plus I received a spoke shave in the mail (on a Sunday! thumbs up Amazon), that made shaping the back of the neck very enjoyable. I just love the sound a plane makes when its shaving whisper thin curls of wood. Anyway... here are a few pics. If any of you experienced builders see a problem, or a potential problem with how I'm building, please let me know. I'm sure there's a lot on this build that can be improved.
Next step will be cutting red oak fret board and fretting it....

The wayfinder, I planed the headstock down this evening (using my beautiful new vintage Stanley 9-1/4 handplane!) Tuners will fit nicely now!

Looks great, is that neck Poplar? Those boxes sound good... you'll probably need a block under the bridge to keep the top from sinking...

Howdy John, the neck is poplar with red oak heel and headstock back plate. I'm going to put a red oak fret board on there too. Lots of support in the box. She's solid from top to bottom inside the box along the neck axis. I'm guessing that might have a negative impact on acoustics but the top won't sink :)
