This pic is from Zeke Schein (Matt Umanov Guitars - NYC).
Back in 06, we were hanging out at the Vintage Guitar show in Arlington, TX.... we talked for a long while and we're trading RJ licks on an old 1929 National Triolian Resonator. In our conversation, Zeke mentioned this photograph he had of what he sincerely believes to be Robert Johnson and possibly Johnny Shines.
Take a look, what do you think.

there are more pictures of him, but they are in the possession of his half sister who won't release them to the public.

It would be amazing if it was him! As I undersatnd there are only two pictures of him in existence. The one of him sitting in a studio holding a little parlour-type guitar, and one of him close up with a cigarette in his mouth. If this is him it would be astonishing, but I have to say it sadly doesn't look like him to me....

I wasn't sure at first, but now that I look at the other two proven Robert Johnson photos...it's looking more like him to me, especially the freakishly long fingers. If you look at the photo with the cigarette, there is the same unusual deep grooves and extra large webbing in between his knuckles.
Here is another person's analysis of all 3 possible pics of RJ.

My first thought was "really? no way." My second thought, after reading that article, was "hmmmmm, it sho nuf could be."
Then Gene pointed out his fingers. I haven't seen too many folks with fingers that long (although Hendrix and anther Johnson, Eric, come to mind).
In any case, cool pic BB! Thanks for sharing. Makes you think...
