Radio amp

I am trying to build an amp from  a RCA Victor Superhetrodyne Radio.  model 4RG 23.  It is only an AM model.  Does anyone know how to disconnect the AM tuner without too much trouble?  I am guessing it is a mater of touch and feel to find the part that will amplify my guitar with string pluck.

You may not need to disconnect the tuner. I played around with a little transitor radio. Soldered in a jack to the volume pot. that was it. Worked great.
