Just received this info from Kinman Australia. I used Kinman pickups in some of my builds, I was happy with them.

Dear Kinman enthiusiast;
Boy oh boy have we been busy!!! And not just to occupy our time during this darn Pandemic. Boss Chris Kinman has found fresh inspiration for lots of revolutionary pickups and upgrades to existing ones and we’ve been busy testing, tweaking and perfecting them.
Have you ever wondered if a Humbucker could be split and the single-coil could be as loud as the humbucker? But more than that, could the split single-coil sound like a Fender or a P-90? And to cap it off the biggest question of all: could the split single also have Zero-Hum ????? These questions originated way, way back in the 1970’s and guitar players are still asking the same questions today because no pickup manufacturer has come even close to what we have achieved. And so, Kinman has much pleasure in answering these questions with a resounding Yes Yes YES to all three.
A great many players world-wide recognize Chris Kinman as the most accomplished pickup design engineer of all time with a list of impressive successes dating back to 1987 when he designed our magical Alnico-K rod magnet which we still use today as the core component in all our Fender type pickups. And back in 1996 he kicked off the new generation of noiseless Fender type pickups and still leads the way with our Gen-2 models and now the Gen-3 Magnum Opus ’59 which is the new Gold standard for Stratocaster pickups (both noisy and noiseless).

Kinman is the King of Noiseless

And now we lead the way again with our passive Multi-Sonic humbucker the Converge-3n, which answers the three questions in the first paragraph with a resounding Yes, Yes YES! The split-single of the Lite version sounds similar to a Telecaster bridge pickup and players have been asking for a Strat pickups with that sound for ages, it sounds great in the neck position (as well as in the bridge). The split-single of the Standard version has a similar sound to a P-90 with all the sweet top end sizzle and thumping low end growl and dynamics of our P-90 Hx Soapbar models, and it sounds great in the bridge position. Incredibly, both split single sounds have absolute Zero-Hum ,,,, and look Mum, no battery …. and no active electronics trickery. The three *loud* authentic sounds of these three guitars are produced by one 100% Zero-Hum pickup, our new revolutionary Converge-3n.

Having nailed the split single sounds you are probably wondering if the non-split humbucker sounds any good, right? It sounds fantastic, fat thumping lows that have un-usual clarity and sweet sizzling highs that sustain and sing as well as a healthy dose of piano mid-tones for clarity and transparency; you’re gonna be in humbucker nirvana. And again, there is absolute Zero-Hum.
Follow this link on a desk-top computer and learn more and watch a YouTube demo of our amazing Converge-3n ,,,, and while you’re there check out our other Humbuckers such as the P90-Bucker, the Twang-Bucker, the P.A.F Suite, the 59+ LPS and the new Mini-Buckers in 10 different flavors.
We hope to see you soon on www.kinman.com

All Kinman humbuckers have 3D sound, the 3rd dimension is FEEL.
