hey, does anybody know? is putting a single coil pick-up in line with the sting effective?

Yes. I would guess that it would be louder than normal.

Yep. It works. RTZ has a croquet mallet diddley bow, where his is strapped on with a coupla cable ties; check out his Profile page.
