<p>The stereo plugs will work, but you just need to make sure the hot wire is on the correct lug, you have a ground lug and 2 hot lugs, but you only need 1 hot 1 connected</p>

<p>I'm with Brian Q and Darryl.....I was wondering if you could try a 3.5mm stereo female to 3.5mm mono male jack adaptor (like the one below) as a quick fix/check? You should be able to pick one up for around 2 to 3 US dollars.</p>
